Download Realme Always-On Display (AOD) v1.0.19

With the introduction of Android 10, Realme launched its first custom UI skin— Realme UI. It carries a bunch of new features, one of which is Always-On Display (AOD). Also known as Screen off display feature, it allows the user to see time, date, battery status, notifications, and more when the screen is locked or the screen is off.

The Realme Always-On Display app is receiving a stable version v1.0.19 globally. The build is Compatible with devices running Realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11 or higher versions. Also, the company says that the app works only with some AMOLED displays of Realme smartphones so, the users should try at their own risk.

T-Mobile OnePlus Nord N200 get a new software update with OxygenOS 11.0.1.7

OnePlus announced the Nord N200 5G with Android 11 based OxygenOS 11 on top. The device is eligible to grab four years of update support. Presently, the T-Mobile variants of the OnePlus Nord N200 are receiving a new software update that adds OxygenOS 11.0.1.7.

The latest update for the OnePlus Nord N200 is currently live for the T-Mobile variants of the device in the USA. While the units in other regions will also get similar treatment soon. The package arrives on the software version OxygenOS 11.0.1.7DE18CB. Along with the bump in skin level, the package carries the October 2021 security patch to the device.

Additionally, the changelog also mentions that the build brings some general device stability improvements as well. However, do not expect it to bring any new features or other significant changes.

[Update: September 2021 Security Patch] Realme C12 Updates Tracker

Realme debuted the Reale C12 smartphone in August 2020 featuring a 6.5-inch display. It is powered by an Octa-core processor based MediaTek Helio G35 Chipset coupled with PowerVR GE8320 GPU. In terms of camera, there’s a triple camera module led by a 13 MP primary sensor and a 5 MP single front-facing camera.

  • [October 25, 2021]: Realme is rolling out a new update for the C12 smartphone. It carries the firmware version RMX2189_11_C.08 for the Indian units of the smartphone. The device is receiving September 2021 security patch that brings fixes to known issues and optimizes system stability.

  • [April 26, 2021]: The Realme C12 is receiving the April 2021 security patch update in India and Europe with a build number RMX2189_11_A.93. It brings system stability and optimizes system performance. The new update is rolling out in India and Europe and will soon reach users in other regions.

  • [February 22, 2021]: The stable channel for Realme C15 is rolling out a new update featuring February 2021 Security Patch. Along with the bump in safety level, the update also addresses some bugs and brings fixes for them. Moreover, the package also optimizes the system stability and system performance. Like all the other updates, Realme is sending the updates in a phased manner. As a result, it is expected to reach all the units within a week.   • [October 25, 2021]: Oppo is releasing the October 2021 security patch to the Reno2 F. The update is unfurling in international markets via the firmware version CPH1989_11_F.16. Alongside, the package does not bring any other noticeable changes. But, it addresses various privacy and security-related vulnerabilities.

Xiaomi is releasing the MIUI 12.5 enhanced edition update to all of its eligible flagships. So far, several devices have bagged the new update. The latest ones to join the long list are the 2020 launched Redmi 9 and Redmi Note 9.

iQOO released the Android 12 Beta roadmap

The new operating system, Android 12 is finally available in a stable phase. Every smartphone brand is busy crafting the timeline for the deployment of the same. Joining the list is the Chinese brand iQOO. The company has finally released its Android 12 beta roadmap for its smartphones.

As per the framed schedule, iQOO 7 will be the first device to receive Android 12 beta at the end of December 2021. This will be followed by iQOO 7 Legend, iQOO Z3, and iQOO Z5 at the same time period. Further, iQOO 3 is set to receive the build by the end of Q3 2022.

OnePlus Nord gets a new update with OxygenOS 11.1.6.6

In Q4 of 2020, OnePlus debuted its very first Nord sub-brand smartphone— the standard OnePlus Nord. The device boost Android 10 out of the box and later received the Android 11 update based on OxygenOS 11. The brand has now started to push OxygenOS 11.1.6.6 update to the device.

The new update for the OnePlus Nord is rolling out in North America, India, and European regions. For the North American variants, the package arrives on build number 11.1.6.6.AC01AA. While the Indian and European models bear the firmware version 11.1.6.6.AC01DA and 11.1.6.6.AC01BA respectively.

Concerning changes, the package improves the system security by inculcating the October 2021 security patch. Also, it carries some general bugs fixes and system stability improvements. Redmi Note 8T finally receives Android 11 update globally

Where other OEMs are busy planning Android 12 rollout, Xiaomi is still not done with the deployment of Android 11. After the European units, the company is releasing the Android 11 update for the global variant of the Redmi Note 8T.

The Android 11 update for Redmi Note 8T brings a lot of new additions and optimizations to enhance the overall user’s experiences. The package is bundled with the firmware version V12.0.2.0.RCXMIXM. However, the update is released for pilot testers as of now. It will soon be available for the general public as well.

Though the changelog does not mention any specific features but, concluding from the package size which is 2.3 GB, we can say that it carries all that we expect from the new operating system.

With the stable release of Android 12, every smartphone brand has crafted its timeline for the rollout of the new version. The last one to join the group is the Taiwanese giant Asus. The company has finally shared its roadmap for the deployment of the latest operating system.

As per the schedule, Asus plans to update six smartphones with Android 12 OS by the first half of the next year. According to the company, it will also introduce ZenUI-specific changes, tweaks in performance, and its own battery along with the upcoming software update.
