Chromebook and Android integration improves with recent update

Google is releasing a new set of features for Chromebook and Android users to improve the integration and bring improvement to the quality of life. This includes New Phone Hub features, Nearby Share improvements, and Bluetooth connectivity improvements. Let's take a detailed look at the latest set of features.

For starters, the Phone Hub users will be able to access their most recent photos, even if they are offline. With this, the company intends to provide a distraction-free experience. The pictures will automatically appear on the Phone Hub under the Recent Photos section. This adds to the ability to reply to text messages, check their phone's battery, and perform other functions that are already available.



In addition, the update will enable the Nearby Share users to safely share Wi-Fi credentials from their Android smartphone to a Chromebook. For sharing, just head to Settings > Wi-Fi network > Share. Thereafter, you will see “Nearby” and send it off to a nearby Chromebook. After this, the Chromebook will permanently save your password. Also, it will get online without typing any Wi-Fi passwords and connect seamlessly.



Furthermore, Chromebook users will soon get the Fast Pair feature this summer to connect any Bluetooth accessories. Turning on the Chromebook Bluetooth, it will seek the compatible devices that are in pairing mode. After the successful connection, the link will be saved to your Google account, allowing you to connect the accessory with any other product.

Nokia Style+ 5G visits FCC ahead of launch, packs 4900 mAh Battery

HMD Global is preparing a new smartphone dubbed Nokia Style+ 5G. Earlier, the device was spotted on China Quality Certification (CQC) and WiFi Alliance database. Now, it has made an appearance on the FCC website ahead of any official announcement. Here's what we know about the device so far.

With all these listings, we have some of the phone’s key features and specifications. The latest FCC portal reveals the model number TA-1448 for the Nokia Style+. Further, it reveals the camera specifications and the battery capacity of the phone.

Nokia will pack the mysterious Style+ smartphone with a 4,900 mAh battery unit. Also, it will ship with a charger with the AD-020US model number. However, the website does not divulge the charging speed of the device. Thanks to the CQC listing, we know that the handset will support 20W fast charging.

In terms of optics, the listing confirms that Nokia Style+ will carry a triple rear camera module along with an LED flash. In addition, the phone will be a 5G device with support for multiple 5G NR bands and an LCD screen. Moreover, it will be 76.4mm wide and 166.1mm tall. Besides, as confirmed by the WiFi Alliance listing, the Nokia Style+ will come pre-installed with Android 12.

As scheduled, Xiaomi's spin-off brand has unveiled two new smartphones: Poco X4 GT and Poco F4 5G. The smartphones were running around the rumor mills for some time now. Poco X4 GT features a 6.6-inch Full HD+ LCD screen with support for Dolby Vision. The panel offers a 144 Hz refresh rate, a 20.5:9 aspect ratio, and is IP53 rated for dust and splash resistance. Also, the device packs a 5080 mAh battery with 67W fast charging support.

The Poco F4 5G is built around a 6.67-inch E4 AMOLED panel with support for Dolby Vision and HDR10+. Likewise, the panel offers a 120Hz screen refresh rate, DCI-P3 gamut, 1300 nits brightness, and a 360Hz sampling. Moreover, it is covered with a layer of Corning Gorilla Galas protection and is IP53 rated for splash and dust resistance.

Underneath, an octa-core processor based on Snapdragon 870 SoC powers the smartphone. The chipset is paired with 12GB RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. In addition, the Poco F4 5G comes pre-installed with Android 12 tossed with MIUI 13 on top.

The Poco F4 5G will go on sale via Flipkart from June 27 in Nebula Green and Night Black color options. The price of the base 6GB/ 128GB variant is ₹27,999, while the mid 8GB/ 128GB and high 12GB/ 256GB models costs ₹29,999 and ₹33,999, respectively.

Oneplus 7, 7 Pro, 7T, 7T Pro, and 9RT gets ColorOS 12 beta program

Earlier this month, OnePlus announced that the Android 12-based ColorOS 12 beta program will be made available for its 2019 premium flagships. Adhering to its words, the beta build is now rolling out for the OnePlus 7 series, including the T-mobile variants- Oneplus 7, 7 Pro, 7T, and 7T Pro. Joining these devices is the OnePlus 9RT as well.

Now that OnePlus has upgraded its existing flagships, the company is now shifting to older smartphones. In case you're wondering, the company has ditched HydrogenOS last year for the ColorOS skin iteration. As usual, the latest ColorOS 12 Beta update for the Oneplus 7, 7 Pro, 7T, 7T Pro, and 9RT is presently limited to the home country, China. The beta initiative may go live for the global variants in the coming weeks.

OnePlus usually test its flagships for two months before releasing the stable build to the general public. Asus ROG Phone 6 Pro appears on TENAA, approves Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC

Asus is preparing to expand its gaming flagship with the introduction of the ROG Phone 6 series. Recently, the lineup was spotted on the 3C website. Now, the Pro model has made an appearance on TENAA's listing with model number AI2201_B. Here's a detailed look at the specifications and details revealed by the website.

As confirmed by Asus, the ROG Phone 6 series will debut on July 5 in China, Taiwan, and the US. Meanwhile, the TENAA's database has revealed the ROG Phone 6 Pro (AI2201_B) will measure 10.39mm in thickness and weighs around 229 grams.

At the front, the phone will feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with a 165Hz refresh rate. For software, the phone is suggested to come preinstalled with Android 12 OS with a layer of ROG Phone UI on top.

Under the helm, a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC will power the ROG Phone 6 Pro paired with up to 18GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Nothing Phone (1) arrives on Geekbench with Snapdragon 778G+ SoC

Nothing Phone (1) is running around the rumor mills for quite some time now. The first phone by the company will make its global debut on July 12. Ahead of the launch, the company has already teased the design and some key features. Now, the device has made an appearance on the Geekbench benchmarking website, revealing some key details.

On the Geekbench portal, the Nothing Phone (1) has managed to score 797 points in the single-core round and 2803 in the multi-core round. Besides, the database reveals the processor, operating system, and storage configuration of the upcoming smartphone.

Under the hood, the device will draw power from a Qualcomm Snapdragon 700-series processor as per the Geekbench listing. The processor has a codenamed Lahaina, which has a peak clock speed of 2.52GHz. Considering this, it is the Snapdragon 778G+ chipset integrated with Adreno 642L GPU.

OnePlus rolls out new update to OnePlus Nord 2 and Nord CE 2!

OnePlus has rolled out a new update to its two Nord smartphones, i.e., the OnePlus Nord 2 and Nord CE 2. The devices are upgrading with OxygenOS A.13 which is rolling out for Indian users. OnePlus says that the update is incremental and comes with the build number IV2201_11_A.13. It is a minor update weighing around 250MB, meaning it doesn't bring many changes.
